How soon can you get a blood test for pregnancy?

Your breakthrough bleeding can be caused from the way you are taking your birth control. However, I think the earliest you can take the test is 8-12 before your period however your doctor probably will not want to do one unless you are a week late on your period! Take a home test, they are accurate and if it comes out negative and you still suspect call your doctors office! Good luck!
