Where did the authors of the Koran get the quotes they have of Jesus?

The stories of Jesus in the Koran are lifted from the ancient gnostic gospels and other forged works. It is unknown if Mohammed was familiar with those stories and ped them down or if the redactors and compilers of the Koran used copies of them in creating it.
