Why isn't robin in the new batman movies?

well i heard that christian bale said if they put him in the new movies he would leave well i think he really isn't that good of a bat man so they should kick him and bring in robin or if they really want the dark story line they could bring in robin but dress him up like night wing any other batman fans want robin back
