I'm so sick of high school?

It's an endless repetition of so much trivial information i just feel like i can't take it anymore. I'm not one of those kids that comes stoned everyday, i'm smart, i get good grades, i just have stopped caring about what i'm learning. I still try because that's what everyone expects of me, but i hate these expectations. I also am captain of the hockey team, which is yet another activity that i drag myself to everyday. I hate it, and i'm only in my junior year. What can i do? I've started to rethink my entire future. I used to want to go to some ivy league school, but now i say, what's the point? Who f****** cares what college i go to? All i want to do in life is teach or build schools or something in africa.

Do you think my music taste sucks?

What matters the most is if YOU like the music. Some people say it makes sense that you like that music, becuase most 12 year old kids like crappy music, blah blah blah, but it doesn't matter how old you are, as long as the music means something to you. I like quite a few of the bands you put up there, and if you like it too, then you have good taste in music.

Any good mixes for tequila?

Me abd my friends are gonna go drink this weekend and we have jose cuervo tequila. We dont wanna drink it straight. Is there any pops or juices that will go good with it?

Help with a vegetarian matter./ Vegetarians only please.?

I share an apartment with a non vegetarian and we can not seem to agree on the rules of conduct. The smell of cooking meat makes me quite ill (I have been a vegan my whole life) and the kitchen smells spread throughout the living area. I eat all my meals out and do not cook in the house. Am I right or wrong to ask that my housemate not cook meat when I am in the house in the evening thus allowing the smell of the meat to permeate the air. She feels that it is her right to cook meat anytime and that by asking this I am violating her rights. I have no objection to anyone else eating meat although as a separate issue clearly I would like to advance the cause of vegetarianism to save more animals. The kitchen is in an open area that can not easily be contained. Is there a way to coexist or is this a rule or house breaker. Any suggestions from other vegetarians on how to work out these types of issues. PS generally I am not autocratic or bossy and I feel bad about being so in this case.

Should parents be legally required to go to parent-teacher conferences?

Parents really should get involved in their children's school curriculum, what their doing at school, what home work is suppose to be done, every aspect, this is what makes good students, when parents show interests, then the kid will feel it's important too.

When Jesus preached unconditional love, why did people reject it and change his message?

When Oprah suggested recently that God is unconditional love, her fundie christian audience members went ape-sh!t on her, instead desiring God to support their specialness and concepts of punishing non-believers. When Jesus did the same, the people of his day killed him and put their own twisted version of his message in the bible. What's so threatening about unconditional love?
