Cat shelter?

are there any cat shelters in New york that specialize in taking care of cats who have FLUTD? my cat has FLUTD and since i'm away at college and my parents working we can't really tak that great od care of him, so my parents want me to take him somewhere where they can make sure he drinks and gets his special food. i don't want to take him to the SPCA because he's an adult cat which means he'd be ther for a long time, and i don't want him to be stuck in a cage all day.
